Minimum Qualification
- Senior Certificate plus successful completion of Ambulance Emergency Assistant (AEA) Course.
- Current registration with HPCSA as an AEA.
Experience Required
3 Year in Emergency Medical Services (AEA level)
Required Competencies & Skills
- Advanced knowledge of Intermediate Life Support (ILS) Protocols
- Supervisory experience in an emergency services environment
- Knowledge of Supply Chain (SCM), Financial Management, and Labour Relations
- Valid Code 10 (C1) Driver's license with Professional Driving Permit (PrDP)
- Proficiency in computer literacy and strong verbal/written communication
- Ability to perform under pressure and work excessive hours
- Knowledge of the Free State Province geography and EMS infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Manage and supervise an EMS shift including personnel, fleet, and asset management
- Render Intermediate Life Support (ILS) services to patients
- Coordinate response to and management of major medical incidents
- Analyze and sign off Patient Report Forms (PRFs) for quality control
- Maintain discipline on the shift and oversee leave management and duty ledgers
- Manage and maintain emergency response times according to provincial targets
- Compile management reports and attend district/community meetings
- Complete trip authorities and maintain checklists for vehicles and equipment
- Implement SOPs, departmental policies, and circulars
- Oversee standby duties during provincial and local events.
