Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the Transport Operator Licence and Permits directorate
- Monitor and enforce compliance regarding operating licence conditions across the province
- Manage and resolve public transport conflicts integrated within provincial and municipal transport plans
- Oversee the establishment and operational efficiency of Provincial Regulatory Bodies in accordance with the National Land Transport Act
- Ensure the provision of high-quality administrative support services to licensing processes and adjudicating committees
- Manage the implementation of the National Transport Policy and relevant Land Transport Acts
- Direct and guide personnel on the application of government policies, regulations, and strategic objectives
- Oversee the directorate's financial management and service delivery innovation initiatives
