- Advanced policy analysis and development
- Sound research, knowledge management, and conflict resolution skills
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience at a Middle or Senior Managerial level with practical work experience in the Tourism Sector
- Completion of Nyukela SMS Pre-entry Certificate
- Valid driver's licence
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Coordinate and facilitate provincial tourism product development and the packaging of specific niche markets
- Create and maintain a conducive environment for the growth of tourism enterprises within the Province
- Oversee the registration, compliance, and enforcement functions for tourism businesses and tourist guides in line with relevant legislation
- Manage the formulation and implementation of tourism-centric policies, strategies, and high-impact programs
- Direct the integration of Risk and Integrity Management, Operation Sukuma Sakhe, and the District Development Model (DDM) into tourism operations
- Provide strategic oversight of the Directorate's human, financial, and physical resources
- Lead stakeholder consultation and high-level advisory services for provincial tourism growth
- Monitor emerging trends and international tourism standards to ensure provincial competitiveness
