Requirements
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Lead the departmental strategic planning lifecycle including the development of Strategic Plans (SP) and Annual Performance Plans (APP)
- Coordinate the design and maintenance of strategic policy frameworks and the Service Delivery Improvement Plan (SDIP)
- Oversee the development and institutionalization of departmental planning and policy systems
- Facilitate research initiatives to inform policy reviews and maintain the departmental policy register
- Manage coordination with GPG executive structures and external stakeholders regarding the GDARD mandate
- Design and implement comprehensive Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) frameworks and institutional tools
- Provide technical support during performance information audits and ensure data validation
- Direct human resource management including performance agreements, mentoring, and discipline within the Directorate
- Oversee financial management and budget execution in strict compliance with the PFMA and Treasury Regulations
- Prepare high-level executive contributions for SCOA, Annual Reports, and Budget Speeches
