Requirements
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience at a Middle or Senior Managerial Level
- Extensive experience in transport, traffic management, or safety environments
- Proven track record in designing, monitoring, and evaluating road safety intervention systems.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Lead the development and implementation of provincial road traffic safety programs and operational plans
- Coordinate collaborative road safety projects with NGOs, SANRAL, local municipalities, and national departments
- Oversee public educational campaigns and safety workshops targeted at academic institutions and the general public
- Facilitate the functioning of Road Safety Forums and maintain strategic stakeholder relationships
- Conduct research to identify hazardous locations and develop data-driven intervention strategies
- Manage the provincial Traffic Training College and ensure alignment with national safety standards
- Execute national road safety mandates including 'Arrive Alive' and festive season projects
- Direct the Directorate's resource management including human capital, financial accountability, and asset control.
