Requirements

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Lead the provision of ICT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and desktop support services
  • Direct the department's digital transformation through automation and digitization of business processes
  • Manage ICT projects and the acquisition of hardware, software, and technical services
  • Implement and oversee ICT governance frameworks in alignment with DPSA and SITA standards
  • Ensure ICT continuity, cybersecurity, and change management protocols are robust
  • Provide strategic direction for the directorate, aligning the ICT business plan with departmental goals
  • Manage data analytics and integration of business solutions to provide secured, high-quality information
  • Oversee the ICT service desk and telecommunication services (video conferencing, telephony)
  • Manage directorate resources, including a multi-million rand budget, departmental assets, and staff performance
