- Strong financial management and budgeting skills (PFMA)
- Change management leadership for digital transformation
- High-level stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Requirements
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience at a middle or senior managerial level
- Proven experience in ICT Governance, PMO Management, and large-scale ICT project implementation
- Public Sector or Health environment experience is an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Provide strategic leadership for ICT governance, ensuring alignment with provincial and national health priorities
- Develop and implement ICT governance frameworks, policies, and standards (COBIT, ITIL, CGICT)
- Establish and lead the ICT Project Management Office (PMO) to oversee complex programs and projects
- Manage the ICT project portfolio to ensure delivery within scope, time, cost, and quality
- Lead ICT risk management, audit processes, and the implementation of internal controls
- Ensure compliance with legislative frameworks including PFMA, POPIA, and DPSA regulations
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement with entities such as SITA, National Treasury, and the National Department of Health
- Manage ICT project budgets and provide technical support to procurement processes
- Lead digital transformation initiatives and drive eHealth/patient-centric digital services
- Oversee staff performance management and professional development within the directorate.
