Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Lead the provision of comprehensive human resources management and development services
- Oversee HR planning, employment equity, and the management of payroll and HR information systems
- Direct the development and execution of the departmental HR strategy and staff establishment
- Manage collective bargaining processes and maintain constructive relationships with recognized trade unions
- Oversee the resolution of grievances and disputes while acting as the primary management representative
- Direct organizational design initiatives including business process mapping and service delivery model reviews
- Facilitate job evaluation processes and the maintenance of job descriptions and OSD post coordination
- Lead change management, culture surveys, and human resource development through Work Skills Plans (WSP)
- Manage the Directorate's budget, ensuring expenditure aligns with strategic objectives and PFMA compliance
- Prepare executive reports for the Annual Report, SCOPA, and Annual Performance Plan (APP)
