10 years hospital experience (5 years at SMS/MMS level) in a hospital environment of which Five

• Expert knowledge of hospital system management and quality assurance methods
• Proficiency in integrated health care planning frameworks
• Expertise in health information systems and data-driven hospital management
• Ability to translate complex legislation into operational protocols
• Strong strategic leadership and public administration skills
• Knowledge of private healthcare provider licensing requirements
• Advanced conflict resolution and resource management capabilities.

• Current registration with HPCSA (for Medical Practitioners) or SANC (for Nurses)
• Ten (10) years' experience in a hospital environment
• Minimum of five (5) years' experience at a middle or senior management level.

• Develop and define hospital service systems, policies, and implementation protocols for hospitals and Community Health Centres (CHCs)
• Establish provincial norms, standards, and guidelines for high-quality hospital care based on clinical best practices
• Manage the licensing, monitoring, and evaluation of both state-aided and private healthcare facilities
• Design and oversee clinical governance systems to ensure high-quality patient care and safety
• Develop monitoring, evaluation, and reporting systems to track quality of care and operational efficiency
• Monitor the implementation of the defined package of healthcare services and the effectiveness of the referral system
• Ensure efficient utilization of human, financial, and physical resources within the directorate
• Translate national health legislation and policies into actionable provincial guidelines
• Identify and incorporate global best practices into provincial hospital management protocols.
