Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Strategically guide and coordinate all activities within the Financial Administration and Accounting Directorate
- Develop and implement the Annual Performance Plan (APP) aligned with strategic targets and constitutional obligations
- Address and remediate audit shortcomings identified by the Auditor General, Audit Committee, and Internal Audit
- Oversee the efficient payment of service providers within the mandatory 30-day legislative period
- Manage financial accounting systems including revenue, expenditure, and debt management services
- Lead the preparation and oversight of interim, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Direct the budgetary process including forecasting, roll-overs, adjustment estimates, and virement processes
- Monitor cash flow and ensure strict compliance with the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and Treasury Regulations
