Minimum Qualification

  • Undergraduate qualification (NQF Level 6) in Transport Planning, Transport Management, Urban and Regional Planning, Transport Economics, Engineering, or Operations.
  • NQF Level 7 preferred.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee and manage the formal registration and licensing protocols for public transport and general transport operations
  • Implement conflict resolution mechanisms to manage and mitigate transport operator disputes
  • Monitor and enforce transport operator safety standards and regulatory compliance
  • Lead the monitoring and implementation of the provincial Rural Transport Strategy
  • Ensure strategic alignment of public transport products and programs with national transport policies
  • Manage financial and human resources in compliance with the PFMA and Treasury Regulations.

Remunaration

R896436.per annum. (Level 11) (All-inclusive remuneration package) The inclusive remuneration package consists of a basic salary, the State's contribution to the Government Employee Pension Fund, a medical fund and flexible portion which may be restructured in terms of applicable rules.
