Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Direct and manage comprehensive physical security support services for personnel, high-value assets, and departmental buildings
- Develop and implement rigorous vetting protocols and classified document handling procedures
- Oversee Information Security Management (ISM) to safeguard departmental data and intelligence
- Formulate and implement security policies and strategies aligned with provincial service delivery goals
- Manage the human, financial, and technological resources of the Security Sub-Directorate
- Coordinate with the State Security Agency (SSA) and SAPS for risk assessments and emergency response
- Lead security investigations and ensure compliance with the Minimum Information Security Standards (MISS)
- Oversee control room operations and electronic security system maintenance
