Minimum Qualification

Undergraduate Qualification (NQF Level 6 or higher) in Social Sciences, Communication, or Education

Experience Required

3-5 years in Road Safety Management

  • Expert knowledge of Traffic Safety Management and National Road Traffic Act
  • Mastery of Road Safety Strategies and international best practices
  • Advanced project management and program development skills
  • Sound understanding of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and Public Service Regulations
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills for diverse community engagement
  • Strong analytical and innovative thinking for policy formulation
  • Proficiency in MS Office and high-level report writing
  • Ability to manage financial resources and lead multidisciplinary teams

Requirements

  • 3-5 years' junior or middle management experience in a road safety programme implementation environment
  • Valid Code B Driver's License
  • Proficiency in both English and isiZulu

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Lead and manage the provision of regional road safety education and awareness programs
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee the execution of strategic road safety projects across the region
  • Develop and implement provincial policies and strategies aimed at reducing road fatalities and improving service delivery
  • Manage the human and financial resources of the Road Safety component in compliance with the PFMA
  • Facilitate community development and empowerment initiatives to foster a culture of road safety
  • Conduct data analysis and research to identify high-risk areas and program effectiveness
  • Coordinate workshops, stakeholder meetings, and capacity-building sessions with local communities
  • Monitor and evaluate road safety standards and priorities to ensure alignment with National Road Traffic Regulations
