Minimum Qualification

Bachelor's Degree or NQF Level 6/7 National Diploma in Business Management, Business Administration, or Economics

Experience Required

3 years in Business Development

Required Competencies & Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of PWD-specific empowerment strategies and the B-BBEE Act (Codes of Good Practice)
  • Advanced understanding of Provincial and National industrial strategies and transformation policies
  • Expertise in project conceptualization, project financing, and contract management
  • Proficiency in research methodologies, SWOT analysis, and business plan evaluation
  • Strategic management and change leadership skills
  • Advanced communication, facilitation, and policy formulation abilities
  • Sound knowledge of the Public Service Regulatory Framework (PSA, PFMA, Batho Pele)

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' junior management experience in Business Development and Project Management
  • Specific experience in empowerment of target groups (PWD/Women/Youth)
  • Experience in formulation of Economic Development concepts
  • Valid Driver's License

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Lead and coordinate specialized enterprise development, skills, and capacity-building programs for entrepreneurs with disabilities
  • Facilitate critical access to markets and financial resources for PWD-owned businesses across KZN
  • Establish and manage strategic stakeholder partnerships to drive provincial economic empowerment for people with disabilities
  • Develop and implement provincial transformation policies, strategies, and frameworks to remove barriers to economic participation
  • Manage the Sub-directorate's human and financial resources in line with the PFMA
  • Conduct feasibility and sector studies to identify high-growth opportunities for disabled entrepreneurs
  • Analyze district-level economic data to inform the development of Integrated Development Plans (IDP)
