Requirements
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience in a junior management or Assistant Director level position
- Specific experience in the monitoring of infrastructure projects or programmes
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Provide technical support and oversight for municipal infrastructure performance management frameworks
- Monitor and evaluate the financial management and expenditure of municipal infrastructure grants
- Offer strategic guidance on infrastructure planning and portfolio management to local municipalities
- Oversee the lifecycle of municipal infrastructure projects with a focus on water and sanitation
- Implement and monitor capacity-building initiatives to improve municipal infrastructure delivery
- Ensure compliance with the Infrastructure Delivery Management System (IDMS) standards
- Review and analyze municipal infrastructure reports to identify performance bottlenecks
- Maintain intergovernmental relations between provincial treasury and local government spheres
- Facilitate project-level guidance to ensure alignment with the Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA)
- Manage administrative and operational requirements within the sub-directorate
