  • Facilitate support for Municipal Council oversight and Section 79 Committees
  • Monitor and support Municipal Public Accounts Committees (MPAC)
  • Oversee municipal Ethics, Integrity, and Anti-Corruption Management
  • Monitor Intergovernmental Relations (IGR) structures
  • Facilitate the implementation of Municipal Governance Legislation (Structures and Systems Acts)
  • Provide guidance on Service Delivery Budget Implementation Plans (SDBIP) and Integrated Development Plans (IDP)
  • Ensure adherence to Risk Management Frameworks and Internal Controls
