Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years' experience at a junior management level within a labour relations environment
- Valid Driver's Licence
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Lead and manage the departmental grievance and dispute resolution mechanisms to ensure procedural and substantive fairness
- Oversee and direct all formal disciplinary processes in accordance with the Public Service disciplinary code
- Facilitate and lead collective bargaining sessions and maintain healthy relationships with organized labour unions
- Develop and implement labour relations policies and strategies aimed at improving overall departmental service delivery
- Manage the human and financial resources allocated to the Labour Relations Sub-Directorate
- Provide expert advisory services to senior management on the interpretation of the Labour Relations Act and Public Service Regulations
- Monitor and report on labour stability trends within the department
