Minimum Qualification

National Senior Certificate plus an appropriate undergraduate qualification (NQF level 6) in International Relations, Political Science, Economics, or equivalent

Experience Required

5 Years (3 Years at Management Level) in International Relations & African Peer Review Mechanism

Required Competencies & Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of International Relations protocols and APRM frameworks
  • Strong understanding of SADC regional integration and geopolitical dynamics
  • Strategic capability in policy analysis and partnership management
  • Exceptional diplomatic communication and negotiation skills
  • Project management and reporting proficiency
  • Valid driver's license (except for PWD)
  • Knowledge of the Public Service regulatory framework and PFMA

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (05) years' experience within International Relations or APRM environments
  • Minimum of three (03) years' experience at an Assistant Director or Junior Management level

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Consolidate and advance the African agenda by establishing and sustaining strategic bilateral relations between Limpopo and SADC member provinces
  • Optimize socio-economic opportunities presented within the South African continent and broader international markets
  • Monitor and evaluate the formal implementation of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with international partners
  • Coordinate high-level international visits and manage the diplomatic mission database
  • Represent the province in African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) related activities and reporting cycles
  • Manage the administrative and operational outputs of the International Relations unit
  • Provide strategic advisory services on global geopolitical trends affecting provincial interests
