Requirements

Key Responsibilities & Duties

Facilitate and coordinate internal and external audit processes, including liaison with the Auditor-General South Africa (AGSA)
Oversee the facilitation of assurance services regarding management requests and the implementation of audit action plans
Serve as the primary facilitator for oversight structures, including Provincial Treasury requirements
Conduct and manage control self-assessments to identify and mitigate systemic risks
Ensure departmental compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and financial frameworks
Monitor and report on the effectiveness of internal control environments to improve audit outcomes.
