Requirements

  • 5 years' experience in an Employee Health and Wellness (EHW) environment within the public sector
  • 3 years' experience at a supervisory level
  • Registration with a relevant Professional Body (e.g., SACSSP, HPCSA)

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop and facilitate approval of annual Operational Plans for Wellness, SHERQ, Health Productivity, and HIV/AIDS/TB
  • Coordinate awareness sessions and marketing campaigns for Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) services
  • Manage critical trauma incidents and facilitate professional referrals for troubled employees
  • Conduct trend analysis on sick leave, incapacity leave, and EAP utilization to determine necessary wellness interventions
  • Oversee the implementation of Departmental Sports, Recreation, and Healthy Lifestyle Programmes
  • Ensure compliance with OHS prescripts including Injury-on-Duty reporting and appointment of OHS representatives
  • Conduct exit interviews and compile detailed reports to identify organizational trends
  • Coordinate the DPSA Systems Monitoring Tool (SMT) reporting by liaising with internal departmental units
