Minimum Qualification

National Diploma or Degree (NQF Level 6) in Demography, Statistics, Social Science, or Economics as recognized by SAQA.

Experience Required

5 years in Demographic Research and Statistical Management

  • Manage the collection, processing, and administrative oversight of provincial demographic data
  • Develop comprehensive data collection frameworks and methodologies to ensure demographic variable coverage
  • Compile and produce annual reports on provincial demographic trends including population growth, age distribution, and migration
  • Oversee social development research projects utilizing quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques
  • Coordinate and provide quality control for multidisciplinary research teams
  • Translate demographic research and statistical findings into actionable social development policy support
  • Disseminate statistical reports to inform executive decision-making processes
  • Implement communication strategies for the timely reporting of social statistics
  • Lead capacity-building initiatives for staff and stakeholders in data analytics
  • Foster strategic partnerships with academic institutions and national bodies like STATS SA.
