Minimum Qualification

Bachelor's Degree or NQF Level 6/7 National Diploma in Business Management, Business Administration, Economics, Production, or Operations Management

Experience Required

3 years in Industrial Development project

Required Competencies & Skills

  • Deep understanding of manufacturing value chains and the National Industrial Policy Framework (NIPF)
  • Expert knowledge of the Industrial Policy Action Plan (IPAP) and Black Industrialist Policy
  • Proficiency in the Provincial Growth and Development Strategy (PGDS) and National R&D/Innovation strategies
  • Advanced skills in business profiling, budgeting, and financial management
  • Ability to interpret complex economic data and manufacturing trends
  • High-level negotiation, networking, and stakeholder management skills
  • Verbal and written proficiency in both English and isiZulu
  • Sound knowledge of the Public Service Regulatory Framework (PSA, PFMA, Batho Pele)

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' junior management experience in Enterprise Development within the manufacturing sector or industrial development projects
  • Valid Driver's License

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Drive the provincial implementation of the KZN Black Industrialist Framework to scale black-owned manufacturing enterprises
  • Forge and manage strategic partnerships between black industrialists and key industry stakeholders
  • Facilitate critical access to domestic and international markets and specialized industrial financing
  • Develop and monitor provincial policies, strategies, and frameworks specifically for the Black Industrialist Programme
  • Provide technical guidance on manufacturing value chains and industrial innovation to emerging industrialists
  • Oversee business profiling and the analysis of economic information to identify high-growth industrial sectors
  • Manage the human and financial resources of the Sub-directorate in compliance with the PFMA
  • Mentor emerging industrialists to enhance production efficiency and operational excellence
