National Senior Certificate plus an undergraduate qualification (NQF level 6) in Development Studies

Experience Required

5 Years (3 Years at Management Level) in Development Planning and Policy Coordination

Required Competencies & Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of Development Planning frameworks and Intergovernmental Relations (IGR)
  • Strategic capability and leadership skills
  • Expertise in policy analysis and formulation
  • In-depth understanding of Municipal Integrated Development Plans (IDPs)

Requirements

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Lead and oversee the coordination of provincial policy development and strategic analysis
  • Facilitate and align integrated development planning across local, provincial, and national spheres of government
  • Manage the implementation and monitoring of the integrated Provincial Planning cycle
  • Coordinate the technical assessment and consolidation of Provincial Strategic Plans to ensure organizational alignment
  • Strategically link intergovernmental plans with Municipal Integrated Development Plans (IDPs) to promote regional growth
  • Oversee the unit's operational plan and provide leadership to subordinate staff members
  • Ensure compliance with provincial planning frameworks and statutory reporting requirements
