Minimum Qualification

National Diploma, BTech, or Honours degree in a Built Environment field; must be Registered as a Professional Construction Project Manager with SACPCMP.

Experience Required

3 to 4.5 years in Professional Construction Project Management (Built Environment)

  • Professional registration with SACPCMP
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the CIDB Act, GIAMA, and OHS Act
  • Proficiency in SANS standards (10403, 10396, 2001) and ISO 9000
  • Strategic leadership and financial management skills
  • Project management legal and operational compliance
  • Advanced problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

Requirements

  • National Diploma: 4 years and 6 months post-qualification experience
  • BTech: 4 years post-qualification managerial experience
  • Honours Degree: 3 years post-qualification experience
  • Note: All experience must be certified and post-registration.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Guide project planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation using standard project management methodologies
  • Develop and update project work plans to adapt to changing requirements and risks
  • Manage daily operational aspects, resource allocation, and project scope to minimize delivery risks
  • Oversee project budgets and ensure financial accountability in line with PFMA
  • Provide technical input during tender administration and procurement processes
  • Facilitate communication between service providers, clients, and departmental management
  • Maintain comprehensive record management systems and architectural libraries
  • Research and implement new construction technologies and project management procedures.

Salary Detail

Remunaration

R879342 - R1323267.per annum. All-Inclusive Package Remuneration). The package includes a basic salary (70% of package), and a flexible portion of 30% that may be structured in terms of applicable rules. Which includes state's contribution to the Government Employees Pension Fund (13% of basic salary). The offer is based on recognition of experience after obtaining registration. (Proof of recognized experience will be requested for shortlisted applicants).
