Minimum Qualification

National Higher Diploma (NQF Level 6) / BTech (NQF Level 7) / Honours Degree (NQF Level 8) in Built Environment

Experience Required

3 to 4.5 years (based on NQF level) in Infrastructure Delivery and Capital Works

  • Professional Construction Project Manager registration (SACPCMP)
  • Expert knowledge of the PFMA and Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Act
  • Proficiency in the Infrastructure Delivery Management System (IDMS)
  • Advanced technical report writing and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and project accounting capabilities
  • Stakeholder and customer relationship management
  • Strategic thinking and people management skills
  • Knowledge of Public Service Regulations and departmental service delivery principles

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Lead and coordinate all phases of capital work projects from planning to evaluation using standardized project management methodologies
  • Develop and refine project work plans to adapt to evolving technical requirements and resource needs
  • Manage daily operational aspects and enforce project standards to mitigate technical and financial risks
  • Oversee project accounting and financial management including budget control and resource allocation
  • Facilitate tender administration and technical liaison with service providers and client departments
  • Maintain institutional knowledge through records management systems and architectural libraries
  • Conduct research into emerging construction technologies and project management innovations
  • Supervise allocated human resources and ensure effective utilization of departmental assets
