- Professional Construction Project Manager registration (SACPCMP)
- Expert knowledge of the PFMA and Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Act
- Proficiency in the Infrastructure Delivery Management System (IDMS)
- Advanced technical report writing and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and project accounting capabilities
- Stakeholder and customer relationship management
- Strategic thinking and people management skills
- Knowledge of Public Service Regulations and departmental service delivery principles
Requirements
- NQF 6: 4 years 6 months certified experience
- NQF 7: 4 years certified managerial experience
- NQF 8: 3 years experience
- Compulsory Professional Registration with SACPCMP
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Lead and coordinate all phases of capital work projects from planning to evaluation using standardized project management methodologies
- Develop and refine project work plans to adapt to evolving technical requirements and resource needs
- Manage daily operational aspects and enforce project standards to mitigate technical and financial risks
- Oversee project accounting and financial management including budget control and resource allocation
- Facilitate tender administration and technical liaison with service providers and client departments
- Maintain institutional knowledge through records management systems and architectural libraries
- Conduct research into emerging construction technologies and project management innovations
- Supervise allocated human resources and ensure effective utilization of departmental assets
