National Diploma (T/N/S streams) OR N3 and passed Trade Test in Electrical OR Registration as an Engineering Technician

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Investigate customer complaints and identify requirements for new electrical services and repairs
  • Prepare technical specifications and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for unplanned maintenance and minor new works
  • Conduct on-site inspections of new and existing structures to ensure compliance with building regulations and legislation
  • Develop and maintain electronic record systems for project tracking and progress reporting
  • Analyze project documentation including plans, sketches, and bid documents for technical adjudication
  • Manage contractor activities on-site, verifying invoices and certifying progress payments
  • Administer contract compliance, process variation orders, and facilitate problem resolution on project sites
  • Supervise and mentor Works Inspectors, managing their performance and identifying skills development needs
  • Monitor the utilization of equipment and expenditure within the electrical works unit
