Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in Training and Development as a Facilitator, Assessor, and Moderator
- Possession of Facilitator, Assessor, and Moderator Certificates with ETQA
- Road Construction Plant and Equipment certificates
- SETA Accredited professional certificates in L&D
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Develop and maintain departmental training policies, regulations, and quality standards
- Conduct technical needs assessments to identify skill gaps across various business units
- Design, monitor, and evaluate both accredited and non-accredited training programs and skills bearing interventions
- Lead the design and implementation of job-specific courses and contractor development programs
- Provide expert technical training advice to directorates regarding road workers, student engineers, and candidate engineers
- Manage the production and maintenance of training manuals, visual aids, and instructional materials
- Coordinate the roll-out of training curricula and evaluate theoretical and practical learner competency against unit standards
- Manage unit resources including human capital, equipment, and assets
- Oversee training administration, record-keeping, and compliance reporting
- Direct staff performance through coaching, monitoring, and formal performance contract assessments
