Required Competencies & Skills
- Expert knowledge of the Infrastructure Delivery Management System (IDMS)
- Professional registration with the South African Council for the Quantity Surveying Profession (SACQSP)
- Proficient in financial management and cost control for large-scale projects
- Strong understanding of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and quality assurance standards
- Advanced report writing and research capabilities in new construction technologies
- Strategic resource management and team leadership skills.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years post-qualification experience
- Proven experience in infrastructure programme and project planning
- Experience in contract management and financial oversight within the built environment
- Expertise in Infrastructure Delivery Management System (IDMS) is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Develop and update the Infrastructure Programme Management Plan (IPMP) and Procurement Strategy in alignment with IDMS
- Prepare detailed infrastructure budgets, final project lists, and project execution briefs
- Lead the evaluation of tenders and participate in Supply Chain Management Committees for professional service providers
- Monitor implementation by Implementing Agents (IA) and sign off on Infrastructure Programme Implementation Plans (IPIP)
- Review and recommend Variation Orders and authorize payments according to financial delegations
- Manage maintenance projects including day-to-day, routine, and emergency maintenance funded by the department
- Oversee project commissioning, technical condition assessments, and update NEIMS/EFMS databases
- Provide strategic technical feedback on built environment norms and standards to improve infrastructure delivery.

Remunaration
- Grade A: R1143468 - R1300944 PER ANNUM, (ALL-INCLUSIVE ANNUAL SALARY PACKAGE) OF WHICH 30% MAY BE STRUCTURED ACCORDING TO THE INDIVIDUAL'S NEEDS. OSD: THE DEPARTMENT WILL DETERMINE THE SALARY NOTCH BASED ON YEARS' EXPERIENCE POST PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATION..
