Minimum Qualification

Experience Required
7-10 Years in Senior Traffic Law Enforcement and Supervisory Management
Required Competencies & Skills
- Expert knowledge of the National Road Traffic Act (Act 93 of 1996) and National Land Transport Act (Act 5 of 2009)
- Proficiency in traffic management systems including TRAFMAN and eNatis
- Advanced strategic leadership and human resource management capabilities
- Financial management and provincial budget control proficiency
- Expertise in Public Service Regulations and Performance Management systems
Requirements
- 7-10 years' experience in Traffic Law Enforcement
- 3-5 years' supervisory experience at Salary Level 7 or 8
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Direct and oversee the enforcement of Road Traffic and Land Transport legislation within the province
- Formulate and execute strategic operational plans for traffic law enforcement and speed testing
- Coordinate complex arrest procedures, court evidence presentation, and the legal processing of offenders
- Oversee the management of hazardous locations, abnormal load escorts, and road sport event safety
- Lead multi-agency law enforcement projects and cooperative governance initiatives
- Manage departmental resources including human capital, performance appraisals (PMDS), and leadership of SPIs and PIs
- Perform high-level management functions including environmental analysis, risk mitigation, and strategic planning
- Oversee fleet management, firearm loss control, and provincial budget monitoring and expenditure reporting
