Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years at a Senior Management Level (SMS) in the infrastructure sector
- Professional registration with a relevant council (ECSA, SACAP, SACPCMP, or SACQSP)
- Extensive experience in maintenance programs and infrastructure development
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Lead the Chief Directorate to ensure strategic objectives align with the Infrastructure Delivery Management System (IDMS) and PFMA
- Provide strategic leadership for infrastructure and maintenance plans across the Free State districts (Motheo, Xhariep, Thabo Mofutsanyane, Fezile Dabi, and Lejweleputswa)
- Oversee the development and review of infrastructure delivery plans and maintenance strategies to mitigate built environment risk
- Manage relationships with contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
- Direct the assessment of infrastructure condition and functionality in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Facilitate service delivery models including labour-intensive construction methods required by the EPWP infrastructure sector
- Oversee human capital development to ensure a continuous supply of qualified artisans and construction health and safety professionals
- Manage the program budget and allocated resources to ensure fiscal responsibility and corporate governance
