Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years at a Senior Management Level (SMS) in the infrastructure sector
  • Professional registration with a relevant council (ECSA, SACAP, SACPCMP, or SACQSP)
  • Extensive experience in maintenance programs and infrastructure development

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Lead the Chief Directorate to ensure strategic objectives align with the Infrastructure Delivery Management System (IDMS) and PFMA
  • Provide strategic leadership for infrastructure and maintenance plans across the Free State districts (Motheo, Xhariep, Thabo Mofutsanyane, Fezile Dabi, and Lejweleputswa)
  • Oversee the development and review of infrastructure delivery plans and maintenance strategies to mitigate built environment risk
  • Manage relationships with contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
  • Direct the assessment of infrastructure condition and functionality in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Facilitate service delivery models including labour-intensive construction methods required by the EPWP infrastructure sector
  • Oversee human capital development to ensure a continuous supply of qualified artisans and construction health and safety professionals
  • Manage the program budget and allocated resources to ensure fiscal responsibility and corporate governance

Remunaration

R1494900.per annum (Level 14) (An all-inclusive package) he remuneration package consists of a basic salary (70%), the Employer contribution to the Government Employee Pension Fund and flexible portion, which may be structured in terms of the rules for the structuring of the flexible portion and which may include a 13th cheque, motor car allowance, home owner's allowance and medical aid assistance
