Minimum Qualification

- Thorough knowledge of the Government Governance Management Framework
- Advanced skills in strategic management, planning, and organizational leadership
- Proficiency in change management, project management, and analytical problem-solving
- High-level communication (written and verbal) and report-writing skills
- Knowledge of epidemiology profiling and early warning services
- Ability to engage with Trade Unions, Provincial Health Councils, and NGOs.
Requirements
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience at a senior managerial level in a Strategic Management Services environment
- Proven track record in planning, monitoring, and evaluation is a significant advantage
- Experience in epidemiology or health research oversight is preferred.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Facilitate the development of Departmental Strategic, Service Delivery, and Annual Performance plans
- Oversee the development of costing models and cost-benefit analysis for health services
- Manage the provision of data management, geographic information systems (GIS), and monitoring and evaluation services
- Develop and facilitate a monitoring and evaluation framework to assess overall Departmental performance
- Oversee epidemiology services, health research initiatives, and clinical trial policy frameworks
- Lead the development and implementation of Audit Improvement Plans for pre-determined objectives
- Ensure the effective management of financial, human, and asset resources within the Chief Directorate
- Represent the department in Social Cluster Programs and District Task Teams (DDM and OSS)
- Provide strategic leadership to ensure compliance with the PFMA and other governance regulations.
