National Senior Certificate plus a Bachelor's degree in B.Com, Management Accounting, or Financial Management (NQF Level 7)

Experience Required

5 years (SMS) in Public Sector Financial Management

Requirements

Five (5) years' experience at Senior Management Level (SMS) within financial management

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Serve as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) functionary overseeing Management Accounting, Financial Accounting, and Supply Chain Management
  • Lead the MTEF budget compilation, monitoring, and adjustment estimates
  • Ensure the timeous submission of Annual Financial Statements (AFS) in compliance with GRAP
  • Oversee expenditure control systems to eliminate Unauthorized, Irregular, Fruitless, and Wasteful (UIFW) expenditure
  • Manage revenue frameworks, billing, and departmental debt collection
  • Direct Supply Chain Management (SCM) including demand, acquisition, and asset management
  • Maintain the departmental asset register and oversee fleet management
  • Manage audit coordination and the implementation of Auditor General (AG) recommendations
  • Oversee internal controls, fraud prevention, and risk management frameworks
  • Ensure organizational performance aligns with the Annual Performance Plan (APP) and Strategic Imperatives
