Minimum Qualification

Bachelor's degree (NQF Level 7) in Public Management, Administration, Social Sciences, Developmental Studies, Political Science, Project Management, or Built Environment

Experience Required

5-7 years in Senior Management in Public Employment or Infrastructure

Requirements

  • 5-7 years' management experience in large-scale public employment or infrastructure programmes

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Provide strategic leadership and management for the provincial Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP)
  • Coordinate sector departments and public bodies to implement EPWP initiatives using labour-intensive measures
  • Drive innovative empowerment initiatives and flagship community development programmes for poverty alleviation
  • Enhance EPWP delivery capacity across provincial and local government spheres in the Free State
  • Oversee the development and management of the EPWP Management Information System (MIS) for accurate reporting
  • Manage grant and donor funding frameworks to ensure financial accountability for community-based projects
  • Establish learning networks and best practices to improve work opportunity creation and asset creation
  • Facilitate EPWP learnerships and support programmes for the development of SMMEs among beneficiaries

Salary Detail

Remunaration

R1494900.per annum. (Level 14) (An all-inclusive package) The remuneration package consists of a basic salary (70%), the Employer contribution to the Government Employee Pension Fund and flexible portion, which may be structured in terms of the rules for the structuring of the flexible portion and which may include a 13th cheque, motor car allowance, home owner's allowance and medical aid assistance.
