Minimum Qualification

B Degree in Architecture or equivalent qualification
Compulsory Professional Registration with SACAP (South African Council for the Architectural Profession).

Experience Required

6 years in Professional Architecture (Post-Registration)

Expert knowledge of National Building Standards Act, CIDB Act, and Council for Built Environment Act
Strategic leadership and capability in managing large-scale infrastructure portfolios
Proficiency in PFMA, DORA, and Treasury Regulations
Advanced financial management and cash flow monitoring skills
Strong risk management and risk log compilation abilities
Change management and organizational planning skills.

Minimum of 6 years post-qualification architectural experience required

Key Responsibilities & Duties

Perform final review and technical audits on architectural designs to ensure adherence to design principles and theory
Coordinate interdisciplinary design efforts and technology integration across complex infrastructure projects
Manage architectural strategy execution through the provision of appropriate structures and systems
Set and enforce architectural standards, specifications, and service levels
Oversee the operational capital project portfolio and manage commercial value-add for related programs
Conduct financial management by allocating, monitoring, and controlling expenditure according to the budget and MTEF objectives
Provide technical consulting services to mitigate architectural and operational risks
Manage human resources within the discipline, including performance management of subordinates and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Salary Detail

Remunaration

R1088488 - R2027811.per annum per annum (All-inclusive Package). The package includes a basic salary (70% of package), and a flexible portion of 30% that may be structured in terms of applicable rules. Which includes state's contribution to the Government Employees Pension Fund (13% of basic salary). The offer is based on recognition of experience after obtaining registration. (Proof of recognized experience will be requested from the shortlisted candidates).
