Diploma / Degree in Nursing (R425) plus a Diploma / Degree in Nursing Administration or Health Service Management

8 years (3 years management) in nursing after registration as a Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing

• Strong leadership and supervisory skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities
• In-depth understanding of the Nursing Strategy, PFMA, and Labor Relations
• Knowledge of the National Core Standards and Ideal Hospital Framework
• Basic computer literacy (Word/Excel)
• Ability to work under pressure in a high-demand environment.

• Minimum of 8 years appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration as a Professional Nurse
• At least 3 years of the experience must be at a Management level
• Must be currently registered with the SANC.

• Delegate, supervise, and coordinate the provision of effective and efficient patient care within the assigned nursing area
• Manage the effective utilization of human, financial, and material resources (PFMA compliance)
• Participate in the analysis, formulation, and implementation of nursing guidelines, policies, and SOPs
• Establish and maintain constructive working relationships with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
• Initiate and participate in health promotion and information sharing for accurate healthcare delivery
• Oversee the coordination of staff training and research initiatives within the department
• Maintain professional growth and ethical standards for self and subordinates
• Ensure alignment with National Core Standards and the Ideal Hospital Framework.
