Requirements
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience
- At least three (3) years must be at lower management or supervisory level (Salary Level 7/8) within Internal Control, IT Audit, or Financial Systems Auditing.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Coordinate and facilitate strict internal controls over departmental systems (BAS, LOGIS, PERSAL)
- Lead and facilitate IT audits in collaboration with the Auditor-General of South Africa (AGSA) and Internal Audit units
- Develop and monitor Audit Action Plans to resolve findings and improve system integrity
- Oversee the authorization protocols for system transactions to prevent unauthorized or fraudulent activities
- Ensure departmental compliance with relevant legislative frameworks and ICT governance standards
- Provide technical support to ensure the 'schooling system' data is secure and auditable
- Manage human and financial resources within the sub-directorate.
