Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Coordinate departmental records management services including physical and digital filing (EDRMS) in compliance with POPIA, PAIA, and National Archives Act
- Develop retention schedules, security protocols, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for document management
- Facilitate facilities management by sourcing office accommodation, allocating parking, and overseeing building maintenance with landlords and service providers
- Monitor the implementation of repair and maintenance activities and facility management policies
- Coordinate auxiliary services such as cleaning, hygiene, and pest control including quality inspections of service provider materials
- Render security support services including screening, vetting processes, and monitoring the biometric access system
- Supervise subordinates, managing leave administration, staff development, and performance management
- Maintain discipline within the component according to departmental prescripts
