Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience
  • At least three (3) years must be at lower management or supervisory level (Salary Level 7/8) within Records Management or Registry Services.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Direct the systematic creation and indexing of departmental HR records
  • Oversee the secure maintenance and preservation of personnel files for both Educators and Public Service staff
  • Coordinate the lifecycle of records including active usage, archiving, and lawful disposal/destruction
  • Manage and modernize registry services to ensure efficient retrieval of information
  • Ensure compliance with the National Archives and Records Service of South Africa Act and POPIA
  • Supervise registry staff and manage the physical and digital security of sensitive employee data
  • Provide reports on the status of the records management system and audit readiness.
