Experience Required
3 years in Internal and External Auditing / Technical Audit Support

- Advanced knowledge of PFMA, Treasury Regulations, and PSRF
- Proficiency in International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing
- Expert understanding of GRAP, GAAP, and Modified Cash Standards (MCS)
- Proficiency in TeamMate Audit Management software
- Strategic planning and MTEF budget analysis
- Advanced analytical, quantitative, and statistical analysis skills
- Project management and change management capabilities
- Excellence in report writing and professional communication
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in conducting or providing technical support in internal or external auditing
- Active membership with IIASA or SAICA
- Valid driver's license (with reasonable accommodation for PWD)
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Lead the development and periodic revision of provincial internal audit policies, methodologies, and procedural frameworks
- Coordinate the strategic and annual planning for internal audit services based on comprehensive provincial and departmental risk assessments
- Supervise the execution of internal audit projects to ensure compliance with established methodologies and procedure manuals
- Formulate value-adding recommendations to enhance institutional governance, risk management, and internal control environments
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement and maintain professional relationships with client management and external partners
- Manage the financial, human, and physical resources within the allocated unit to ensure operational efficiency
