Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years appropriate experience post-HPCSA registration as an Independent Environmental Health Practitioner
- 5 years of appropriate experience in Management
- Extensive experience in malaria control, disease surveillance, and outbreak management
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Facilitate the implementation of National and Provincial Environmental Health policies and guidelines
- Develop and monitor norms and standards aligned with WHO Integrated Vector Control management
- Execute operational planning and drafting of business plans for the regional malaria programme
- Direct and monitor the seasonal Indoor Residual Spraying (IRS) Programme
- Support parasite and insecticide resistance monitoring to maintain early warning systems
- Plan and implement vector control logistics and epidemic response strategies
- Manage assets and stock control of insecticides via the Malaria Information System
- Conduct applied research to identify gaps and develop interventions for malaria vector research
- Coordinate community engagement, health promotion, and multi-sectoral malaria messaging
- Manage human and financial resources including contract management and performance monitoring
