Minimum Qualification

  • Grade 12 (Senior Certificate) and an appropriate Trade Test Certificate recognized by SAQA.
  • Valid Driver's License.

Experience Required

5 Year in Artisan Production

Required Competencies & Skills

  • Advanced skills in the relevant technical trade and ability to operate heavy machinery
  • Strong supervisory and team leadership capabilities
  • Knowledge of the Public Financial Management Act (PFMA) and Public Service Regulations
  • Proficiency in Supply Chain Management (SCM) and LOGIS systems
  • Excellent problem-solving, time management, and numeracy skills
  • Computer literacy and technical report writing skills
  • Understanding of building safety programs and protocols.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years recognizable experience as an Artisan Production post-qualification.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Plan and coordinate technical work to be performed within the facility
  • Implement and monitor the equipment maintenance program to ensure operational efficiency
  • Execute scheduled inspections of buildings and equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Oversee the repair of broken equipment and respond to urgent 'H24' job requests
  • Manage preventative maintenance schedules for both building infrastructure and technical equipment
  • Obtain quotations for stock and materials and complete PA1 LOGIS forms for procurement
  • Supervise and provide technical guidance to the artisan staff and support personnel
  • Ensure all work is executed according to set engineering standards, policies, and SCM procedures
  • Maintain accurate records of completed tasks and resource utilization.

Remunaration

  • Grade A: R382047 PER ANNUM.
  • Grade B: R453609 PER ANNUM PLUS 13TH CHEQUE, HOUSING ALLOWANCE, MEDICAL AID (OPTIONAL, EMPLOYEE MUST MEET THE PRESCRIBED REQUIREMENTS..
