Minimum Qualification

  • Grade 12 (Senior Certificate) plus an appropriate Trade Test Certificate recognized by SAQA.
  • Valid Driver's License.

Experience Required

5 Year in Artisan Production

Required Competencies & Skills

  • Advanced technical skills in the relevant trade
  • Strong planning, organizing, and coordination abilities
  • Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and Public Service Regulations
  • Proficiency in Supply Chain Management (SCM) procedures and LOGIS
  • Effective report writing and communication skills
  • Ability to operate specialized equipment and machinery
  • Problem-solving, numeracy, and time management skills
  • Computer literacy.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years recognizable experience as an Artisan Production.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Plan and supervise technical work to be performed by the artisan team
  • Implement and oversee equipment maintenance programs and preventative maintenance for buildings
  • Execute regular inspections of building equipment according to scheduled programs
  • Ensure all technical work is executed according to set engineering standards and safety policies
  • Repair broken equipment and attend to urgent job requests (H24)
  • Obtain quotations for stock and materials and complete PA1 LOGIS forms for procurement of tools
  • Supervise technical staff and record all completed work requests
  • Ensure compliance with Building Safety programs, protocols, and SCM procedures
  • Provide reports on work progress and maintenance activities.

Remunaration

  • Grade A: R382047 PER ANNUM.
  • Grade B: R453609 PER ANNUM PLUS 13TH CHEQUE, HOUSING ALLOWANCE, MEDICAL AID (OPTIONAL, EMPLOYEE MUST MEET THE PRESCRIBED REQUIREMENTS..
