Frequently Asked Questions

While the advert specifically mentions a 'Trade Test Certificate (Electrical)', being a 'Registered Person' (Wireman's License) with the Department of Labour is a major advantage for 'Legal Compliance' duties, particularly for signing off Certificates of Compliance (CoC).
As noted in the department's standard instructions, the online Z83 is currently unsignable. You must download a physical Z83, sign it by hand, and upload the scanned copy as an attachment to your online profile.
In South Africa, all electrical work must comply with SANS 10142-1 (The Code of Practice for the Wiring of Premises). You will be assessed on your ability to perform installations that meet these safety and technical regulations.
