University degree in Architecture or equivalent qualification (NQF Level 7)

3 years post-qualification in Architectural Services and Infrastructure Delivery

• Expertise in the Infrastructure Delivery Management System (IDMS)
• Advanced architectural design and technical evaluation skills
• Proficiency in contract management and financial implication analysis
• Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and built environment legislative requirements
• Ability to perform research on new construction technologies and geographical information management
• Strategic resource management and professional reporting capabilities.

• Minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience
• Professional registration with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP)
• Proven experience in infrastructure planning and project monitoring.

• Develop and update the Infrastructure Programme Management Plan (IPMP) and Procurement Strategy in alignment with IDMS
• Formulate infrastructure budgets and final project lists to guide departmental spending
• Prepare and manage detailed project briefs and Project Execution Plans (v1) for Implementing Agents
• Participate in Supply Chain Management Committees to evaluate tenders and approve bid specifications for professional services
• Oversee the implementation of architectural projects to ensure compliance with Service Delivery Agreements and quality standards
• Review and sign off on Infrastructure Programme Implementation Plans (IPIP) and Project Execution Plans (Versions 2-7)
• Manage the execution of day-to-day, routine, and emergency maintenance projects for schools and districts
• Coordinate project commissioning, including site visits and updating Technical Condition Assessments in NEIMS/EFMS
• Conduct Post Occupancy Evaluations (POE) to provide technical feedback on architectural norms and standards.
