Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the Policy and Planning Directorate
- Facilitate communication links and community liaison between the Department and stakeholders (Municipalities, Communities, and other State Departments)
- Assist in the administration and monitoring of the section's budget in line with the PFMA
- Draft professional letters, memoranda, and general correspondence for the Directorate
- Coordinate stakeholder consultation processes for public transport planning initiatives
- Identify skills gaps and facilitate training/development for junior administrative colleagues
- Ensure compliance with the Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA) and Administrative Justice Act (PAJA)
- Support the implementation and monitoring of project management processes within the unit
