Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the Policy and Planning Directorate
  • Facilitate communication links and community liaison between the Department and stakeholders (Municipalities, Communities, and other State Departments)
  • Assist in the administration and monitoring of the section's budget in line with the PFMA
  • Draft professional letters, memoranda, and general correspondence for the Directorate
  • Coordinate stakeholder consultation processes for public transport planning initiatives
  • Identify skills gaps and facilitate training/development for junior administrative colleagues
  • Ensure compliance with the Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA) and Administrative Justice Act (PAJA)
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of project management processes within the unit
