Minimum Qualification

National Senior Certificate plus an undergraduate qualification (NQF level 6) in Supply Chain Management/Logistics/Purchasing/BCom in Accounting/Business Management/Economics/Cost and Management Accounting/Financial Management

Experience Required

2 Years in Supply Chain / Inventory Management

Required Competencies & Skills

  • Proficiency in LOGIS (Logistical Information System)
  • Sound knowledge of Supply Chain Management and Inventory Management principles
  • High level of numerical accuracy and attention to detail
  • Understanding of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and Treasury Regulations regarding asset management
  • Ability to conduct physical stock audits
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills

Requirements

  • Minimum of two (02) years' experience in Inventory Management
  • Practical experience operating within a warehouse or stores environment

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Coordinate the end-to-end procurement and receipt of inventory items in alignment with departmental needs
  • Manage the systematic issuance of inventory to relevant stakeholders ensuring accurate record-keeping
  • Execute rigorous internal control measures including monthly spot-checks and assisting with comprehensive quarterly stock-taking
  • Ensure the physical safeguarding of stores and the security of all departmental stock assets
  • Maintain accurate electronic and manual inventory records to prevent stock-outs or excessive surpluses
