Required Competencies & Skills
- Proficiency in LOGIS (Logistical Information System)
- Sound knowledge of Supply Chain Management and Inventory Management principles
- High level of numerical accuracy and attention to detail
- Understanding of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and Treasury Regulations regarding asset management
- Ability to conduct physical stock audits
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
Requirements
- Minimum of two (02) years' experience in Inventory Management
- Practical experience operating within a warehouse or stores environment
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Coordinate the end-to-end procurement and receipt of inventory items in alignment with departmental needs
- Manage the systematic issuance of inventory to relevant stakeholders ensuring accurate record-keeping
- Execute rigorous internal control measures including monthly spot-checks and assisting with comprehensive quarterly stock-taking
- Ensure the physical safeguarding of stores and the security of all departmental stock assets
- Maintain accurate electronic and manual inventory records to prevent stock-outs or excessive surpluses
