Minimum Qualification

  • Undergraduate qualification (NQF level 6) or equivalent as recognized by SAQA.
  • Public Administration qualification is an added advantage.

Experience Required

2 years in Disability Support Services / Public Administration

Required Competencies & Skills

  • Knowledge of orientation and mobility skills for the visually impaired
  • Understanding of the legislative framework for disability services in the public sector
  • Knowledge of working with deaf people (as per requirements)
  • Proficiency in computer literacy and assistive technologies
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict management skills
  • Knowledge of the PFMA and financial policies
  • Diversity and change management skills.

Requirements

Minimum of two years' experience in the same or related field (Disability Support or Public Administration).

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Provide direct disability support services focusing on the needs of visually impaired individuals
  • Execute administrative services including report writing and document management
  • Coordinate and support disability awareness campaigns and commemorative days
  • Facilitate training initiatives related to disability inclusion
  • Provide orientation and mobility support within the workplace
  • Assist in the implementation of diversity management and inclusion policies
  • Ensure compliance with the PFMA and departmental financial policies in the procurement of assistive devices.
