National Senior Certificate plus an appropriate undergraduate qualification (NQF level 6) in Financial Management or an equivalent qualification as recognized by SAQA.
Experience Required
2 years in Asset Management and Financial Systems
Required Competencies & Skills
- Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and Treasury Regulations regarding asset management
- Proficiency in financial and asset management systems (e.g., LOGIS/BAS)
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Report writing and analytical skills
- Ability to conduct physical inspections and audits.
Requirements
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience in an Asset Management environment
- Proven experience in maintaining Asset Registers
- Experience in the asset disposal process.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Administer the departmental Asset Register and ensure accurate data maintenance
- Manage the end-to-end process for receiving and distributing new assets within the department
- Coordinate and administer the formal disposal of redundant, obsolete, or unserviceable assets
- Conduct regular physical asset verifications to ensure existence and condition of state property
- Facilitate the reconciliation of physical assets against the financial systems record.
