Minimum Qualification

Grade 12 or an equivalent appropriate NQF Level 4 qualification as recognized by SAQA.

Experience Required

Entry Level / Internship exposure in Supply Chain and Storekeeping

Required Competencies & Skills

  • Basic knowledge of Supply Chain Management (SCM) principles
  • Proficiency in the LOGIS System
  • Understanding of inventory control and warehouse management
  • Clerical and administrative skills
  • Data entry accuracy
  • Stocktaking methodologies
  • Basic understanding of the Public Service regulatory framework.

Requirements

  • Exposure in the field of Supply Chain Management or Stores will be an added advantage
  • Previous experience with the LOGIS system is preferred
  • Experience in inventory or warehouse environments.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Administer and maintain the institutional inventory database to ensure data accuracy
  • Capture and process purchase orders accurately on the LOGIS System
  • Manage the physical receiving and issuing of inventory stock items
  • Maintain and update the inventory register regularly
  • Provide comprehensive clerical support services for inventory management
  • Exercise control over stores and warehouse facilities to prevent loss or damage
  • Conduct regular stocktaking and verification of assets.
