Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Reconcile Departmental Movable Assets with the Basic Accounting System (BAS) to ensure financial alignment
- Capture all movements, transfers, and new acquisitions of Movable Assets into the Fixed Asset Register (FAR)
- Conduct physical verification of Departmental Movable Assets in accordance with official Departmental Policy
- Identify and facilitate the disposal of obsolete, redundant, or unserviceable Movable Assets
- Process and render administrative documentation related to asset theft and losses
- Ensure all assets are correctly barcoded and tracked within the provincial system
- Assist in the preparation of asset management reports for audit purposes
